Basically Edison analyzes the spectral content of the noise and removes it from the vocal. Then you apply this to the original vocal. With simple, intuitive controls similar to those found on traditional dynamics processors, X-Noise is perfect for removing tape hiss as well as air conditioner and computer noise from individual tracks. Maybe it's what the others are saying too, which is a demo plugin or just something acting wonky, but my money is on your room or your recording path.ĮDISON has a noise removal tool! You have to do it every time so I would just deal with the hiss until you're happy with the vocals and then use the tool. This is why people try to get quiet rooms and Mac's, because PC's can also be very loud. Maybe you have a preamp on your interface that needs to be cranked to the max to get the volume you want and it gets noisy.
If not that, you may have a noisy gain structure. You might be used to the ambient noise that's actually there in your studio. Everytime you go to record? Are you sure it's not just background noise and not a software issue at all?
